Porto-Vecchio sits at the head of a long, sheltered gulf on Corsica's south-east coast, but the riding action concentrates a few kilometers south at Plage de Palombaggia and its neighbors Santa Giulia and Tamaricciu. White sand, turquoise shallows, and the pink granite Cerbicale islands offshore make this one of the most photographed stretches of coast in the western Mediterranean. The coastline here is shielded from the Libeccio by Corsica's main spine, which means Palombaggia tends to stay clean and rideable when conditions further west are blown out. Summer winds are light Tramontana from the north and a reliable afternoon thermal — a forgiving profile for newer foilers. Water is shallow well offshore, so the 5-knot limit inside 300 m mostly governs how far you motor before opening up. The rentable infrastructure has grown in step with the destination's rise: beach-club concierges and a handful of dedicated water-sports operators run eFoil sessions from May through October, with June and September the calmest, least-crowded months.
