Zlatni Rat — the Golden Horn — is a shifting pebble spit that juts roughly 500 m into the Brač Channel from the village of Bol on Brač's southern coast. Its geometry is what makes it special for board sports: the channel between Brač and the Hvar mainland accelerates the afternoon Maestral wind, and the spit's two sides give riders a windward face and a sheltered lee within 100 m of each other. For eFoiling, the lighter morning hours and the calm leeward side of the spit are reliable, while afternoons turn into one of the windiest, most consistent thermal venues in the Adriatic. Bol has a long-established cluster of windsurf and kite schools, rental shacks, and a flat seafront promenade with easy public launching. The surrounding water is famously clear — a deep limestone shelf drops off the spit's tip — so flight feels weightless on a calm morning. Best conditions land in June through early September, with the Maestral most reliable in mid-summer.
