Northern Adriatic eFoiling around Roman ruins and pine-fringed coves, with calmer water than Dalmatia.

Pula anchors the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula, where a deeply indented coastline of limestone coves, pine forest, and small islands wraps around a Roman-era town. The northern Adriatic here is generally calmer than the Dalmatian coast — the Maestral thermal still arrives most summer afternoons, but tends to be lighter and more forgiving, which is exactly what eFoilers want. The stretch from Verudela and Premantura down to Cape Kamenjak offers dozens of small launches in protected coves, with shallow turquoise water over rocky shelves. Premantura's Cape Kamenjak nature park provides spectacular flatwater playgrounds; Medulin Bay just east is sandier and even more sheltered. Istria is the most accessible part of Croatia from central Europe, so infrastructure is mature: marinas at Pula, Pomer, and Medulin handle support, and watersports schools cluster along the Premantura side. Watch for the Bura whipping down off the Učka range in spring and autumn — it can rise fast, even on a clear day.
Lighter winds than Dalmatia; gentle SW Maestral afternoons; calm rocky coves; occasional sharp NE Bura in shoulder seasons.
