Knokke-Heist sits at the eastern end of Belgium's 67 km North Sea coast, just south of the Dutch border, with a 12 km wide beach and a sandbar bottom dropping gradually to 6-10 m a kilometre offshore. The Belgian coast is regulated by the Agentschap voor Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust, which divides the foreshore into bathing zones (off-limits to powered craft June-September), navigation zones, and dedicated watersport zones — eFoils operate from the marked watersport corridors at Heist and Het Zoute. Reliable westerly to southwesterly winds, water at 17-19 C in August, and a season running May through early October.
