Royal Victoria Dock in east London offers 75 acres of impounded, non-tidal water at consistent 4-6 m depth over a hard bottom, with flat conditions and no current regardless of weather. The Royal Docks Watersports Centre and the WakeUp Docklands cable park operate from the dock's south side, and eFoil sessions run alongside paddleboard and wakeboard activity under Greater London Authority and Royal Docks Management Authority (RoDMA) consent. Wind is generally light and variable inside the dock — buildings on three sides and the ExCeL exhibition centre create wind shadows, so this is not a sea-breeze venue but a controlled urban training environment. Bookings are required and operators enforce strict bathing-zone separation. The Royal Docks are non-tidal because they sit behind the King George V lock; the open tidal Thames east of the lock is regulated by the Port of London Authority and not used for eFoil activity. Best from May through September with water at 16-19 C.
