Flat-water urban lagoon in San Juan offering protected eFoil sessions year-round, with mangrove edges and easy access from Condado.

Laguna del Condado is a roughly 1km tidal lagoon tucked between the Condado and Miramar neighborhoods of San Juan, connected to the Atlantic via a narrow inlet under the Dos Hermanos Bridge. The lagoon is a designated natural reserve, with mangrove shorelines, manatees, and a no-wake speed limit through most of the central basin — eFoils, with their quiet electric drives and minimal wake, fit the rules far better than combustion craft. The water is glassy on most days regardless of how windy it is on the open coast, which makes the lagoon Puerto Rico's most reliable beginner-friendly eFoil venue. Launch points include the Condado side near the Ventana al Mar park and the Miramar side near the rowing club. Avoid the inlet itself when tide is running hard, and stay clear of marked manatee zones. Trade winds and the occasional north swell pulse don't affect lagoon conditions, so the venue rides year-round; the practical season-best window simply tracks dry-season weather from December through May.
Sheltered urban lagoon between Condado and Miramar, almost always flat with light winds. Designated as a no-wake nature reserve in much of its area.
