New Providence's north shore between Cable Beach and Paradise Island offers some of the most accessible eFoil conditions in the Bahamas: turquoise sand-bottom shallows that run waist-deep for hundreds of meters offshore, light winds in the lee of the island, and a substantial cluster of watersport operators who've added eFoil rentals and instruction over the past few years. Cable Beach's western end and Goodman's Bay are common launch points; Montagu Bay on the east side of Nassau provides a more sheltered alternative when north winds pick up. Nassau Harbour itself, the channel between New Providence and Paradise Island, sees heavy commercial and cruise-ship traffic and is best avoided as a riding venue — keep sessions on the open beach side. The barrier reefs lie further offshore than in many Caribbean spots, so the inside zone is forgivingly deep without coral hazards. Trade winds blow 12-18 knots from the east most of the year, freshening December through March. Hurricane season June through November is a real factor here — Nassau took a glancing hit from Hurricane Dorian in 2019 — and most operators reduce hours or close during named-storm windows. Dry-season months December through May deliver the most consistent water and the lowest cancellation risk for booked sessions.
