Alaçatı sits on the Çeşme peninsula on Türkiye's central Aegean coast, and its eponymous bay is one of the most celebrated wind-sport venues on the planet. The geometry is unusually generous: a shallow, semi-enclosed bay opens to the north, the prevailing summer Imbat blows cleanly side-shore, the bottom is sand and waist-deep for hundreds of meters, and the whole basin produces flat to lightly textured water even in 25 knots. That profile — reliable wind plus forgiving water — makes Alaçatı a natural eFoil destination. Mornings are typically glass for cruising; from late morning the Imbat fills and the bay turns into a wide playground where riders share lanes with windsurfers and wing foilers. Several long-running schools on the bay have added eFoil rentals and lessons. The restored Greek-era stone village inland is itself a draw — boutique hotels, a serious food scene, and direct connections through İzmir airport an hour away. Wind reliability runs from May to October, with the peak Imbat months being June through August. Alaçatı is, in a real sense, the natural eFoil heir to a generation of windsurf history.
